Anti-inflammatory and Analgesic effect of Isoxal^(¢ç) on perineotomy and suture of perineal laceration at the time of delivery

Abstract
Anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs, a large number of drugs belonging to the anthranyl acid group, phenylacetate group, etc. have been developed in recent years in addition to such salycilate and pyrazolone drugs as aspirin, phenylbutazone, etc. and are used in everyday treatments. However, the development of a drug which is still more potent and of lesser adverse side-effect is expected.
We have had an opportunity of investigating by clinical trials the effect of Isoxal¢ç, a new anti-inflammatory and analgesic agent of a 3-amino-alkyl-isoxazole which is said to have a greater analgesics and anti-inflammatory action than aspirin, phenylbutazone, mefenamic acid and benzydamine on the pain and inflammatory symptoms caused by the suture of perineotomy and laceration of perineum at the time of delivery.
The tests were made by administration of a Isoxal¢ç(Perisoxal Citrate) 200mg tablet t.i.d. to 34 cases and nothing to 35 cases as comparatives. For the evaluation of the efficacy, the 6 symptoms of pain at rest, pain at body movement and pain at sitting position, redness, swelling, hotness were observed until the 5th day of childbed.
According to the results, we have confirmed the relative effectiveness of Isoxal¢ç (Perisoxal Citrate) and have got a few findings concerning its evaluation. We are therefore reporting the findings herein.
